Reddit, Inc. is seeking an Observability Engineer who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure and software development. You will contribute to the monitoring and logging stack used by thousands of engineers worldwide, delivering scalable insights across services.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience developing internet-scale software.
Experience with distributed systems and scalable infrastructure.
Familiarity with Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, or related open-source tools.
Experience operating on Kubernetes or similar distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software engineers to build and maintain the foundational platform for Reddit’s infrastructure.
Deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of observability components.
Contribute feedback to the technical and strategic direction of eventing at Reddit.
Automate critical aspects of the event driven development process.
Share on-call responsibilities.
Contribute upstream changes to OSS we use.
