Job summary

GetixHealth is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator (DBA) focused on Microsoft SQL Server to ensure availability, performance, security, and reliability of our database platforms. You will collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Security, Application and Development teams, leveraging automation to improve operations.

The role emphasizes high availability, disaster recovery, and security with On‑Prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, and offers a remote work arrangement within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Hands-on SQL Server administration, backup/DR, and performance troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments across production, development, testing, and DR.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot SQL Server instances.
• Manage SQL Server databases across physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor health, availability, capacity, performance and resources.
• Implement HA/DR solutions and security controls with automation via PowerShell.
• Support migrations to Microsoft Azure platforms and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
