Job summary

Atmosera seeks an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage high-availability SQL Server environments. The role emphasizes Always On Availability Groups, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning in a contractor, remote-friendly setting.

You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure optimal database performance, implement security controls, and automate monitoring and maintenance. Prior HA/DR and cloud experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Expertise in SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
• Strong understanding of T‑SQL scripting, indexing, and query tuning.
• Experience with PowerShell, automation scripts, and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of database security principles and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (on-premises and/or cloud).
• Manage security, roles, permissions, and backups.
• Monitor database health and performance proactively.
