Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-Level Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to join our remote team. You will manage production databases in AWS EC2 and RDS for SQL Server, ensure performance, availability, backups, and security for multiple user groups, and participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience including extensive production support.
• Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022 in virtualized environments and HA options (Always On).
• Experience with SQL Maintenance Plans, SQL Agent jobs, and maintenance scripts.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure SQL Server instances in standalone, Windows Failover Cluster, and Availability Groups.
• Manage cloud hosting on AWS (EC2 and RDS for SQL Server).
• Develop and maintain security and audit solutions.
• Harden systems per CIS and SCSEM standards.
• Review vulnerability scans and remediate database findings.
