Job summary

NCFE is seeking Examiners for Level 1/2 Technical Award in Sports Studies on a flexible remote contract. You will mark external assessments and submit results during the summer 2027 window, ensuring fair, consistent, and accurate outcomes for learners.

Ideal candidates will have Level 3+ qualifications in sports studies, current teaching or relevant experience, and a solid understanding of quality assurance and assessment processes. Training and remote standardisation sessions will be provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3+ qualification in sports studies or closely related subject area.
• Current or recent teaching experience at Level 3+ in a sports studies related subject, or significant recent occupational experience.
• Understanding of quality assurance and assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Mark external assessments and submit results during the marking window.
• Follow the mark scheme and maintain confidentiality of materials.
• Attend examiner standardisation meetings (remote; weekdays 9:00–17:00).
• Report suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns.
