Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist to assess and optimize medication therapy for members via telephonic care. You will develop care plans, monitor progress, and provide education using advanced telecommunication systems.

This remote position requires a PharmD, an active pharmacist license in TX/FL/OH/AZ, and at least 3 years in high-volume settings. You will work Eastern Time hours and may travel occasionally to Humana offices for training.

Qualifications

Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD).
Active Pharmacist license in TX, FL, OH or AZ without restrictions.
Minimum three years of pharmacist experience in high-volume settings.
Participation in Federal prescription programs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote).
Ability to navigate multiple systems and troubleshoot remotely.

Responsibilities

Inbound/Outbound calls to members to discuss medication therapy and adverse events.
Review prescriptions for accuracy and check drug-drug interactions.
Evaluate disease state, dosage, directions and therapy relevance.
Utilize electronic resources and guidelines for professional decision making.
