Job summary

Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA) is seeking a licensed Intervention Specialist for grades 3-5. This full-time remote role requires adapting the K-12 curriculum to state standards, writing IEPs, and collaborating with general education teachers to meet each student’s goals.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree and a Masters in Special Education, have 3+ years in SPED, and be able to obtain Ohio Certification. Travel up to 20% may be needed; OHVA provides a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master’s in Special Education preferred.
• Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Special Education.
• 3+ years of classroom experience in Special Education.
• Must be able to obtain Ohio Certification.

Responsibilities

• Modify/adapt the K12 curriculum in alignment with state standards to meet each student’s needs.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals.
• Proctor achievement tests and other required testing, including alternatives when needed.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
