Trident Systems is seeking a PCB Components Librarian to own, maintain, and govern the Altium component library and Altium Enterprise Server infrastructure for space-grade, high-rel designs. This role ensures configuration control, traceability, and strict adherence to standards for 5-year VPX production.

You will lead footprint design, derating criteria, lifecycle management, and the Altium Part Request process, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4 years of related experience OR 8 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience managing electronic component libraries, library governance, and CAD data systems.
• Deep proficiency in Altium Designer and Altium Enterprise Server administration.
• Space & Automotive Standards: IPC J-STD-001 Space, IPC-6012 Space, EEE-INST-002, AEC-Q100/101/200, PEM screening/qualification methodologies.
• Hardware Domain: VPX boards and high-density, high-reliability forms.
• Manufacturing Integration: contract manufacturer data requirements and resolving defects.

Responsabilités

• Administer Altium Enterprise Server access, security, and revision control.
• Design and verify IPC space footprints per space addenda.
• Enforce EEE-INST-002 Level 3 parameter sets and labels.
• Track AEC-Q101/200 components and PEM screening.
• Define derating criteria in Altium schemas.
• Track component lifecycles for 5+ year production cycles and manage alternates.
• Oversee Altium Part Request process validation.
• Support travel or off-site work as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
