Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a meticulous ECAD Librarian to own and grow the Altium component library, ensuring schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models meet IPC and DFM standards. You will partner with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to keep the library current and the data reliable for board bring-up.

You will define naming conventions, templates, and lifecycle states, while maintaining library audits and part approval workflows to avoid duplicates and errors.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ECAD library management experience with schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and DFM/DFA considerations for manufacturability.
• Experience with PLM systems and ECAD-PLM integration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow Altium component library, ensure accuracy and standardization.
• Enforce IPC-7351, JEDEC, and internal design rules for new/revised components.
• Define naming conventions, templates, lifecycles, and part-request workflows.
• Collaborate with design, supply chain, and contract manufacturers for data accuracy.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual library tasks.
