Job summary

Trident Systems SES division is seeking a PCB Components Librarian to own and govern the Altium component library and Altium Enterprise Server infrastructure for space-grade, high-reliability VPX cards. You will ensure configuration control and traceability in a DoD and IC-focused environment.

The role requires expertise in Altium tools, space/auto standards, and lifecycle governance for complex aerospace hardware, with remote work flexibility and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience (or 4+ years with an Engineering/Technical Bachelor’s degree).
• Experience managing electronic component libraries, library governance, and CAD data systems.
• Deep proficiency in Altium Designer and Altium Enterprise Server administration.
• Space & Automotive Standards: IPC J-STD-001 Space, IPC-6012 Space, EEE-INST-002, AEC-Q100/101/200, PEM screening/qualification methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Altium Enterprise Server Administration: Administer user access rights, role-based security, revision control, and data integrity within the Altium Enterprise environment.
• Space-Grade Footprint Design: Create and verify IPC-compliant footprints for IPC J-STD-001 Space Addendum and IPC-6012 Space Addendum.
• EEE Level 3 Classification: Manage parameter sets for EEE-INST-002 Level 3 components, with proper screening and labeling in the database.
• Automotive & COTS Up-Screening Support: Track and manage metadata for commercial and automotive-grade parts (AEC-Q100/200).
• PEM Component Governance: Define and track parameters and risk for PEMs used in spaceflight designs.
• Derating Rule Enforcement: Automate derating criteria within Altium parameter schemas.
• Lifecycle & Obsolescence Governance: Track lifecycles for 5+ year production cycles; qualify alternates.
• Process Workflow Enforcement: Oversee Altium Part Request process for quality and heritage.
