Job summary

Scalence seeks a Solutions Principal – Application Engineering & Digital Solutions to lead presales and solution development across our IT services portfolio. You will drive application modernization, cloud-native development, and AI-assisted software engineering while coordinating across sales, delivery, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in application engineering, software architecture, technology consulting, solution architecture, or IT services.
• 5+ years in senior presales, solutions, consulting, principal, or client-facing architecture role.
• Experience delivering estimates, staffing models, delivery approaches, transition plans, pricing assumptions, proposals, and SOWs.
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to qualify opportunities and develop pursuit and solution strategies.
• Lead discovery sessions with business, technology, procurement, and operations stakeholders.
• Translate complex requirements into clear solution architectures, delivery models, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead technical solutioning for RFIs, RFPs, proposals, workshops, and finalist discussions.
• Develop reusable solution blueprints, reference architectures, and delivery playbooks.
