Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design on utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The role is remote with occasional office visits and site trips, owning design from preliminary through IFC while ensuring NEC and renewable energy standards compliance.

You will collaborate with engineering, preconstruction, estimating, procurement, and operations to optimize sequencing, costs, and deliverables. Competitive pay and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on solar electrical design experience.
• EPC experience and understanding of how design accuracy affects cost, schedule, and crews.
• Working knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVcase, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on utility-scale solar and BESS projects from preliminary through IFC and construction.
• Review conductor schedules, layouts, voltage drop calculations, grounding, and monitoring.
• Serve as SME on DC/AC collection, MV systems, equipment selection, and code compliance.
• Run structured design reviews at 30%, 90%, IFC, and construction phases.
• Identify risks and resolve gaps before field deployment.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and partners; support permitting and field issues.
