Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks an experienced Software Systems Architect to support the ATIS program and the SAFe ART, guiding team-level architecture, runway, and integration decisions. This highly technical, hands-on role collaborates with developers, Product Management, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity to translate mission needs into scalable designs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
7+ years designing and delivering production software.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and RESTful APIs.
Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and secure software delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead team-level solution design translating requirements into technical designs.
Develop and maintain architectural runway and dependencies.
Guide interface and integration design across APIs and data sources.
Define non-functional requirements including security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
Maintain architecture diagrams, ADRs, and technical documentation to support delivery.
Collaborate with DevSecOps, cybersecurity, Product Management, and other stakeholders.
Provide hands-on guidance through design sessions, reviews, and troubleshooting.
Address cross-team dependencies and reduce delivery risk.
Mentor developers and promote reusable architectural patterns.
