Job summary

VSolvit LLC seeks a Software Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of complex systems within a SAFe framework. You will apply MBSE using SysML and DoDAF to define architectures, analyze requirements, manage risks, and support digital engineering across programs.

Travel required quarterly to Chesapeake, VA; U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required, along with a Level 1+ IAT certification.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Level 1 or higher IAT certification (A+ CE, Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP).
• Bachelor's degree in systems/engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MBSE and DoDAF architectures.
• SAFe System Architect certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system architecture and roadmaps for complex programs.
• Communicate architectural vision across ARTs, PM, engineering, and stakeholders.
• Develop SysML models and DoDAF architecture products.
• Ensure traceability from objectives to implementation and verification.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and ensure DoD/cybersecurity compliance.
• Support RMF, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, and cloud-based architectures.
