Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) in Maryland seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to provide strategic systems engineering, governance, and enterprise integration support to the JCWA program. This high-visibility SETA role partners with leadership to shape architecture and align agile delivery with DoD requirements.

You will lead governance artifacts, drive SAFe ceremonies, develop dashboards in Confluence and Jira, and communicate complex technical topics to senior DoD audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years DoD/defense contracting experience.
• Proven DoD enterprise systems engineering experience.
• Expert-level Confluence and Jira with dashboards and automation.
• Deep SAFe, ARTs, and PI Planning knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication for exec-level briefs.
• Experience with JCWA or large DoD programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of JCWA systems engineering artifacts.
• Develop governance products (Charters, SOPs, MFRs, ADRs).
• Evaluate and support JCWA-ICAM and DoD policies.
• Coordinate large PI Planning events for 900+ personnel.
• Engineer dashboards and reporting with Confluence and Jira.
• Maintain executive dashboards and risk reporting for leadership.
