Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is seeking a Software Product Manager to guide strategy, discovery, development, delivery, and ongoing improvement of our software for design and manufacture of structural components.

You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to identify problems and deliver high-value solutions. The role emphasizes translating workflows into clear priorities, owning the backlog, and driving product outcomes in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software-related component manufacturing experience
• 1+ years of product management experience preferred
• Experience with CAD, BIM, structural design, engineering, architectural, construction, or manufacturing software
• Knowledge of structural building components, including roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, engineered wood products, component layout, or manufacturing workflows
• Understanding of Agile product-development practices, backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and software release processes
• Ability to learn complex technical products and develop practical knowledge of customer workflows
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to convert customer needs and technical concepts into clear, actionable product requirements
• Strong customer focus and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable objectives
• Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
• Create, maintain, and prioritize a healthy product backlog based on customer value and business impact
• Collaborate with Software Development, UX, QA, Engineering, and other partners throughout discovery and delivery
• Coordinate release readiness, communications, documentation, training, and post-release evaluation
• Lead through influence and represent the product in customer meetings and industry events
