Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple software teams within the WEX FSM platform. You will define best practices, drive technical strategy, and shape the engineering culture while delivering scalable software solutions.

You will mentor engineers, conduct regular feedback, and partner with Product to translate requirements into technical specifications and accurate estimates. A focus on continuous learning and innovation is essential, with emphasis on modern tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or 1+ years in software engineering management.
• Expertise in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) fundamentals and processes.
• Practical experience with automated testing, especially unit tests.
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Provide leadership and mentorship for software engineers.
• Coach and manage multiple teams, with regular feedback loops.
• Drive modernization by adopting new tools, frameworks, and patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate business needs into specs and estimates.
