Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for a 12-week remote US program. You will tackle real production challenges across full-stack development, APIs, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted software tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelors or Masters in a technical field.
• Third year of undergraduate study completed by start date.
• Foundational programming coursework and project experience.
• Familiarity with at least one modern language listed (C#, Java, Python, JS/TS, C++).
• Understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
• Basic SQL and relational databases knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and delivery of Lyric's healthcare tech platform.
• Work on modernization initiatives involving .NET, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and web apps.
• Assist with RESTful APIs and microservices supporting scalable architecture.
• Contribute to front-end development with Angular/React/TypeScript.
• Gain experience with SQL Server, data modeling, queries, and performance.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to support coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from experienced engineers.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests and learn CI/CD practices.
• Identify and debug defects; optimize performance in cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Learn observability, logging, monitoring, and telemetry for health of apps.
