Job summary

AFFIRM is hiring a Software Engineer II within Marketing & Privacy Engineering (MPE) to build high-traffic web experiences. You’ll work in a modern web stack (React, TypeScript) and collaborate with product, design, analytics, and data teams to ship reliable experiences with privacy considerations.

The role emphasizes ownership, learning, and contributing to scalable systems, with remote-first flexibility and a compensation range aligned to US markets.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React/Vue).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and web components.
• Able to write clear, well-tested, extensible code and review others’ work.

Responsibilities

• Break down projects, deliver in phases, and collaborate for timely delivery.
• Partner with product, design, analytics, and engineering to balance risks.
• Maintain and monitor artifacts, metrics, and on-call efforts.
• Engage in team growth and participate in interviews.
