Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain critical applications in a collaborative, agile environment.

You will take ownership of features, contribute to architecture, mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and help advance engineering standards while delivering scalable, reliable software. This role is eligible for remote work with quarterly travel to our corporate office in Tampa, Florida.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to design and document scalable solutions.
• Develop unit/integration tests and ensure quality software delivery.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to SDLC activities including planning, testing, and deployment.
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations.
