Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain applications that support diagnostic insights. You will work in an agile team, contribute to architecture, and mentor junior engineers while balancing hands-on coding with system design.

Remote work is eligible with quarterly travel to the Tampa, Florida office to collaborate with the team. You’ll apply expertise in Java, Go, or TypeScript, work with SQL databases, REST/microservices, and modern CI/CD

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with unit/integration/regression testing
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in software projects
• Experience in Agile SDLC and code reviews

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications critical to the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in an agile environment
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
• Contribute to architectural decisions and coding standards
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotation
