Job summary

ICF Next is seeking a software engineer to design, build, test, and support secure, accessible web applications for data entry, batch ingestion, validation, and reporting. You will work across C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and modern JavaScript to deliver reliable data exchanges and interfaces.

You will contribute to automated tests and deployment pipelines, strengthen the platform while in active use, and help modernize legacy components with a focus on performance, observability, and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing and supporting production web applications with C#, .NET or .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
• 2+ years with SQL Server or other relational databases, including data modeling.
• 1+ year building browser-based UIs with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and JSON.
• 1+ year Git-based version control, pull requests, and code reviews.
• 1+ year implementing authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive data.
• US work authorization with ability to obtain favorable Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support secure web applications with data entry, batch ingestion, validation, workflow, role-based access, and reporting.
• Develop REST APIs, web services, and system integrations for secure data exchange.
• Implement data entry, batch upload, validation, duplicate detection, workflow, notification, and data download capabilities.
• Design SQL Server data models, queries, and stored procedures, and support data migration, reconciliation, and historical data needs.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests; contribute to automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor production operations by analyzing logs and performance data to identify root causes and deliver fixes.
• Apply secure coding, least-privilege access, role-based authorization, privacy, Section 508, and WCAG requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, cloud, database, security, QA, product, and client stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation for application behavior, interfaces, data flows, deployment procedures, and operational support.
