Job summary

ICF Next is hiring a frontend developer to build responsive, accessible interfaces for data collection and reporting. You will translate designs into production-ready components, connect to REST APIs, and implement client-side validation and workflows.

Work closely with backend engineers, designers, testers, product teams, and users to modernize legacy interfaces, strengthen the component system, and improve performance and accessibility across federal applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years developing and supporting resilient, well-tested web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 2+ years integrating REST APIs and JSON with HTTP/S.
• 2+ years using React, Angular, Vue, or similar framework for responsive layouts and complex forms.
• 1+ year applying accessible development practices, including semantic HTML and keyboard navigation.
• 1+ year writing automated frontend unit tests with PR reviews and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a modern framework.
• Translate designs into production-ready reusable components.
• Build complex forms, data tables, workflows, notifications, and reporting interfaces for data-intensive apps.
• Integrate frontend with REST APIs, authentication services, analytics, and .NET backend.
• Write unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests for UI behavior and workflows.
• Ensure accessibility, keyboard support, and WCAG compliance across components.
• Improve frontend performance, browser compatibility, and maintainability through iterative refinement.
• Collaborate with design, backend engineers, testers, product teams, and clients.
