Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Platforms for an AI-native, remote-first role. You will own features end-to-end—from backend services and data pipelines to the React frontends our experts use daily.

Design and ship fullstack features in Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript, work with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and collaborate with research, operations, and product to turn requirements into production-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0–5 years of software engineering experience or recent graduate with shipped projects.
• Strong fundamentals in Python and TypeScript, with CRUD apps using FastAPI/Flask and React.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQLite and core data modeling.
• Experience deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to explain how coding agents are used in development workflows.
• Understanding of agent loops, tools, data integrations, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship fullstack features across backend APIs, data pipelines, and React frontends.
• Own client-facing data delivery and platform infrastructure, including exports and access control.
• Scope work around outcomes, direct agents, and review changes at the architecture level.
• Build and maintain services in Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript.
• Contribute to data modeling, schema design, and query performance across databases.
• Partner with research engineering, operations, and product to production-ready systems.
• Improve frameworks, checks, and evals to speed up agent-driven development.
• Troubleshoot production issues and build observable, resilient systems.
