Job summary

Olo is seeking a Software Engineer on the Core team to help shape the future of baskets, orders and checkout services. You will contribute hands-on code, review work, and mentor others while focusing on reliability and scalability of our API/services.

You'll work remotely from Northern Ireland, leveraging Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in a modern AI-enabled environment. The team collaborates across brands and partners to deliver high-performing digital ordering experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience.
• At least 1.5 years in software engineering.
• Proficient in C#/ .Net and familiar with basic patterns.
• Experience with GitHub for source code management.
• Know how to write unit tests (NUnit/Jest).
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the Core team's domain and tech stack.
• Handle small-to-medium features with guidance from seniors.
• Write code adhering to coding standards and participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates to implement feature requirements.
• Ensure reliable, maintainable software and robust deployment practices.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies.
• Engage in on-call duties as required.
