Job summary

Abax Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our US-based development team. You will design, build, test, and maintain production software across the application stack, taking ownership and transferring knowledge from our Macedonian offshore team to the new US-based team.

This hands-on role spans frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and integrations. We expect engineers who understand business problems, can design solutions, experiment, and apply engineering

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience building and supporting production applications.
• Experience across multiple areas of a modern application stack, including backend, frontend, APIs, relational databases, integrations, or cloud technologies.
• Strong system-design, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Experience with SQL, APIs, automated testing, source control, code review, and CI/CD.
• Experience with modern cloud environments; Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with appropriate technical judgment and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production software across the application stack.
• Develop new capabilities while supporting and modernizing AbaxOne.
• Build deep knowledge of AbaxOne architecture, workflows, integrations, and dependencies as knowledge transfer occurs to the US-based team.
• Help establish durable internal technical ownership and continuity for the AbaxOne platform.
• Spend time understanding business problems, exploring solutions, experimenting, and applying engineering judgment.
