Job summary

Asteris, part of Valsoft Corporation, leads veterinary imaging technology through the Keystone PACS platform. As a Software Developer, you will build features to store, transfer, render, and share diagnostic images, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and seamless integrations.

You’ll work with DICOM data and imaging workflows, develop integrations with practice management systems, and collaborate with Product and Support to translate client needs into effective solutions in a fully

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with medical imaging, PACS, and the DICOM standard.
• Strong skills in a modern object-oriented language, such as C# / .NET or C++.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Solid understanding of networking and client/server architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across the Keystone PACS platform.
• Work with DICOM data and imaging workflows, including storage, transfer, viewing, and reporting.
• Build and support integrations with imaging modalities and practice management systems.
• Design services with a strong focus on high availability, scalability, performance, and observability.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the quality, testing, and production readiness of what you build.
• Write clean, well-documented code and take part in code and design reviews.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies.
• Work with the Support team to identify and fix performance, scalability, and production issues.
• Collaborate with Product and Support to translate client needs into solutions.
