Advocate Health is offering a remote Summer internship focused on Social Media, Reputation, and External Communications. The role runs May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. Remote work is allowed for select states in the US.

The intern gains exposure to content creation, community management, design, writing, video production, analytics, and more, supporting strategic organizational objectives across designated business units.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university as incoming freshman, sophomore, junior or senior for Fall 2027 pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing, Brand, Digital Content, or related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Produce social media posts across platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) incl. graphics and videos.
• Monitor branded social activity including reviews and comments.
• Design visuals for Pinterest/Instagram and healthenews infographics.
• Assist with social and digital marketing campaigns.
• Draft and edit press materials and external announcements.
• Identify compelling stories highlighting initiatives and impact.
• Adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
• Support other external communications initiatives and events.
• Develop original copy aligned with brand guidelines.
