Advocate Health is seeking a passionate Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to support building meaningful relationships with local communities and advancing organizational, clinical, and social responsibility. The internship offers hands-on experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting, with remote work available for eligible states.

The program runs May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday business

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with junior or senior standing in a related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute community outreach programs and events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic orgs.
• Track social impact metrics and report outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications on initiatives.
• Research social issues and community needs.
• Assist with grant applications and sponsorship requests.
• Participate in team meetings and suggest new initiatives.
• Develop CSR event planning and stakeholder communication skills.
• Build professional relationships with leaders.
• Understand the role of businesses in driving social change.
