University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking a skilled Projects Lead for Skills Ontology and Learning Recognition to drive grant-based initiatives from the Office of Registrar. The role collaborates with faculty SMEs, data specialists, and partner institutions to translate strategy into actionable work plans and consistent documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in project coordination, academic administration, or related areas.
• Experience managing project plans, workstreams, timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with skills taxonomies, ontologies, and credentialing.
• Ability to coordinate faculty or SME engagement and manage reviews and logistics.
• Strong writing and organizational skills with clear status reporting.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the integrated project plan, timelines, milestones, and logs for learning-recognition workstreams.
• Coordinate day-to-day activity across faculty reviewers, SMEs, data staff, and administrative units.
• Track deliverables and escalate risks with recommended next steps.
• Develop and maintain crosswalks, evidence tables, and version-controlled records.
• Document taxonomy research, decisions, architecture, and process changes for transparency.
• Coordinate review cycles and consolidate feedback for project teams.
