Job summary

Loadsmart seeks an experienced SRE Tech Lead to build and maintain the company’s internal platform, drive operational excellence, and empower the engineering organization. You will mentor teams, propose safer systems, and stay hands-on while collaborating with stakeholders across the company.

This role requires strong cloud, Linux, and networking knowledge, plus experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years leading reliability work across multiple squads.
• Over 5 years in Cloud/SRE/DevOps roles.
• Proven collaboration with internal stakeholders across teams.
• Strong project management with ability to mentor others.
• Excellent English communication in an international team.
• Detail-oriented with high initiative and self-motivation.
• Solid understanding of software engineering and systems.
• Deep knowledge of modern networking and operating systems.
• Proficiency in AWS, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Unix/Linux production experience; monitoring, alerting, incident management.
• Scripting in Python, Bash; PostgreSQL exposure is a plus.
• Fluent in English; comfortable with daily interactions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and support the development team.
• Design, deploy, and operate Loadsmart's critical systems balancing reliability, cost, and agility.
• Drive reliability projects with engineering teams.
• Tackle challenging issues with proactive problem-solving and positive attitude.
• Collect metrics and link them to business impact, promoting data-driven decisions.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis of system issues.
• Own the platform's Service Level Agreements and Objectives.
• Provide infrastructure support during off-hours as needed.
• Take ownership of software infrastructure projects.
• Receive and give constructive feedback through code and reviews.
• Familiarity with AI agents and AI-assisted tooling is a plus.
