Job summary

Acceler8 Talent seeks a hands-on SIPI Characterization Engineer to own electrical characterization of high-speed SerDes interfaces and power-delivery networks for advanced accelerator compute systems in Mountain View, CA or remote.

You will build scalable lab characterization and test-automation infrastructure, validating thousands of SerDes channels while collaborating with SI, PI, packaging, and board-design engineers to improve future designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years hardware characterization, SI/PI, or related experience.
• Deep understanding of high-speed SerDes architectures and PHY operation.
• Strong knowledge of BER, eye diagrams, jitter, and link-margin analysis.

Responsibilities

• Characterize high-speed SerDes interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, custom protocols).
• Perform BER testing, eye-diagram analysis, jitter decomposition, and PVT studies.
• Tune SerDes transmitter/receiver equalization settings and channel loss/return loss.
• Develop scalable electrical-design-validation test infrastructure.
• Automate characterization across thousands of SerDes channels.
• Collaborate with SI, PI, packaging, and board-design teams on designs.
