Job summary

UNAVAILABLE invites a Second in Command (SIC) to support the Pilot in Command in the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft. You will assist with flight planning, aircraft prep, pre-flight inspections, cockpit setup, and in-flight duties while upholding safety and exceptional service for passengers and crew.

The role emphasizes communication with ATC, adherence to SOPs, and continuous training to maintain currency and proficiency.

Qualifications

• Meet the minimum qualifications as specified in Federal Aviation Regulation Part 135.293 flight check.
• Should have a minimum of 1200 logged flight hours.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate with single-engine, land certificate and Instrument rating. No minimum flight hour experience required. Turbo-prop experience preferred.
• The successful candidate will be responsible to the Pilot in Command for piloting our aircraft safely and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service to our passengers.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the contents of the operations manual and have complete knowledge of all company operations and procedures related to the Pilot-in-Command position.
• Must hold a valid aviation second medical certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.
• Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that meets NANA’s insurance requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PIC in all aspects of flight operations, incl. pre-flight and in-flight tasks.
• Adherence to regulations and procedures throughout the flight.
• Maintain logs and records, complete flight and fuel reports.
• Communicate with ATC and crew, ensure CRM and safety.
• Participate in training, proficiency checks, and updates to regulations.
