Job summary

Qavvik is seeking a Second in Command (SIC) to support the Pilot in Command in safe, compliant flight operations from a Qavvik Air Operations Base. The role emphasizes strong teamwork, communication with ATC, and adherence to procedures while contributing to a culture of safety and exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates will have 1200+ logged flight hours, a CPL with IFR, and a valid second medical certificate, with turbo-prop experience preferred. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Meets FAR Part 135.293 flight check requirements.
• Minimum 1200 logged flight hours.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate (SEL, land) with Instrument rating.
• Must hold a valid aviation second medical certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PIC in all aspects of flight operations and planning.
• Prepare cockpit and review flight plans; conduct pre-flight checks.
• Monitor and manage aircraft systems, navigation, and communications.
• Maintain aircraft logs and records, and complete flight/fuel/incident reports when needed.
• Communicate effectively with ATC and crew; uphold safety and CRM standards.
