Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a ServiceNow Developer Principal to design, build, and customize ServiceNow ITSM solutions for mission-critical government projects.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, integrations, and delivering scalable platform capabilities. You will work with stakeholders to define requirements, create dashboards, and lead demonstrations while maintaining current certifications and pursuing new ones.

Qualifications

• Expertise in developing and customizing ServiceNow apps, especially ITSM.
• Proficiency with SOAP, REST and web services integration.
• Strong scripting skills, preferably JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Import Sets, Transform Maps and CMDB data tools.
• Ability to analyze requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
• Analytical, problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Familiarity with Agile software testing and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and customize ServiceNow apps and ITSM modules.
• Create and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, and integrations.
• Connect ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP.
• Perform admin tasks: user/role mgmt, health checks, maintenance.
• Tailor UI, forms and workflows to business needs.
• Provide end-user support and issue resolution.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data analytics for stakeholders.
• Participate in reviews, postmortems, and process improvements.
• Maintain current certifications and pursue new ones.
