Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst for a remote, long-term contract with a federal integrator client. You will partner with clients to uncover needs and translate them into actionable specs for development teams.

You’ll own the Jira board, track progress, and provide transparent updates to ensure milestones are met as discovery calls and backlog management drive the work. Candidates should have 2+ years in BA/BA-QA in Agile, solid SDLC knowledge, Jira experience, and strong

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a BA or combined BA/QA role, preferably within an Agile software development environment.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools for backlog management and progress reporting.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for the OGE application
Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for development teams
Manage and maintain the Jira project board, tracking tasks, issues, and progress to ensure project schedules are met
Develop and present status reports and progress trackers to provide transparent visibility into development milestones
Identify gaps between business needs and proposed solutions, proactively surface risks or blockers to the broader team
