Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers throughout Michigan. This is a remote, home-based position requiring regional travel to customer worksites within Michigan, with up to 100% travel.

You will install, calibrate, and maintain high‑precision Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and related equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and provide technical training to customers while documenting service activities.

Qualifications

Technical degree in electronics/mechatronics or equivalent military training.
Hands-on with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
Strong mechanical, electrical and software troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain CMM systems at customer sites.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues and implement fixes.
Provide technical training and operational guidance to customers.
Document service activities and submit detailed reports.
Collaborate with support and engineering to resolve complex issues.
Maintain high customer satisfaction and manage service schedules.
Travel up to 100% within Michigan and neighboring states to support customers.
