Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers across Michigan from a remote, home-based setup. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing high-precision CMM systems in customer environments, with travel up to 100% within the region.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, provide training, and document service activities while delivering excellent customer satisfaction and working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Prior experience with CMM equipment or industrial automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain CMM systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues and apply fixes.
• Provide technical training and guidance on machine operation and maintenance.
• Document service activities with detailed reports.
• Collaborate with support and engineering to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction while managing service schedules.
• Travel up to 100% within the Northeast region to support customers.
• Lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds.
