Job summary

Kontak Recruitment seeks an SEO Account Manager to lead client relationships for a portfolio of SEO retainers. This fully remote role involves explaining performance data in plain language, coordinating with the SEO team, and ensuring clients receive what they need and understand it.

You will own regular check-ins, monthly reviews, and act as the face of campaigns for international clients, including exposure to a UK-based business environment. Strong relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in agency account management or client services
• At least 2 years managing SEO retainers
• Able to explain GA4, Search Console, rank tracking and local SEO to a business owner
• Confident leading regular client meetings and difficult conversations
• Enough SEO depth to brief the SEO team clearly
• Personable, self-directed, comfortable owning client relationships
• Experience with international clients (UK-based) advantageous
• Familiarity with local SEO for multi-location or healthcare businesses a bonus
• Hands-on experience with reporting and rank tracking tools

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of existing SEO retainer clients
• Run regular client meetings and performance conversations
• Prepare and present monthly performance reviews using GA4, Search Console, rank tracking and local SEO data
• Develop understanding of each client’s goals and business context
• Maintain collaboration with the SEO team and brief them on client needs
• Monitor accounts for ranking or traffic movements needing attention
• Identify and raise legitimate upsell opportunities
