Moonshot Missions seeks an experienced Senior Utility Advisor to deliver expert technical assistance to communities across the United States. The role leads complex projects, mentors staff, and collaborates with utility clients and stakeholders to ensure sustainable, equitable solutions.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related environmental field and 10+ years in utilities operations, consulting, or program management. Fully remote, with required travel to client sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in water and wastewater utility operations, consulting, or program management.
• Full-time commitment; remote work with travel to client sites across the U.S.
• Strong leadership, project management, and regulatory/ funding program knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor utility advisors and analysts to deliver client services.
• Define objectives, scope, budget, and deliverables for complex projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines and resources.
• Engage stakeholders and coordinate project activities with utilities and communities.
• Monitor progress, address issues, and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare reports and manage staff performance and development.
• Conduct site assessments and draft improvement plans and grant applications.
• Provide guidance on best practices and compliance requirements.
