Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions protecting client web apps. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.

You will leverage Cloudflare and Imperva, automate deployments with Terraform, and mentor junior engineers while supporting audits and policy development. EY offers hybrid work and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
3–5 years of experience in web application security operations with focus on WAF management.
Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
Strong understanding of web application security principles and incident handling.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions for web apps.
Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
Analyze security incidents and perform root cause remediation.
Collaborate with incident response teams to address incidents promptly.
Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
Support security audits and assessments.
Stay current with threats and security technologies.
Utilize WAF solutions including Cloudflare and Imperva for deployment and management.
Apply Terraform IaC to automate deployment of WAF infrastructure.
Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
