Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents to uphold security and performance of web apps.

You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva, leverage Terraform for IaC, and mentor junior engineers in incident response, helping EY maintain a strong security posture across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3–5 years of web application security operations experience focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of web app protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Certs such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events for threats.
• Analyze security incidents for root cause and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies.
• Use Cloudflare and Imperva for implementation and management.
• Leverage Terraform to automate WAF deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
