Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage web application firewall solutions. You’ll monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents to protect client applications.

You’ll work with Cloudflare and Imperva, automate via Terraform, and collaborate with cross-functional security teams to strengthen overall security posture. In this role you’ll configure WAFs, maintain policies, and support audits while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of web application security operations experience.
• Hands-on work with Cloudflare and Imperva WAFs.
• Experience using Terraform for IaC is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions for web apps.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage and performance monitoring.
• Analyze security events and respond to incidents promptly.
• Develop WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams during security events.
• Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident handling.
• Stay current on threats and security technologies.
