Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls for client applications, ensuring performance and security. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, respond to incidents, and support change requests to uphold application integrity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop and maintain WAF policies, and mentor junior engineers while leveraging Cloudflare and Imperva, with Terraform to automate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation preferred.
• Strong understanding of web app protocols, security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Certs like CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities
