SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Underwriter to lead evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business across supported states. The role emphasizes strong risk assessment, collaboration with actuaries and agents, and ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

You will develop risk models, manage complex renewals, and communicate strategies across internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field.
• 13+ years of underwriting or related field experience preferred or progressing toward professional designation.

Responsabilités

• Lead evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• Develop and implement advanced risk assessment models for coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Foster strategic partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to obtain information and guidance.
• Procure and analyze reports to support underwriting decisions and compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate complex renewals and modifications; identify opportunities for policy enhancements and risk mitigation.
• Communicate underwriting strategies to internal teams, agents, and brokers; monitor industry trends and market conditions.
• Mentor staff and participate in talent decisions; travel occasionally.
• Maintain relationships with customers and coworkers to generate new business and retain profitable accounts.
