Job summary

Coalition, Inc. seeks an experienced underwriter to drive profitable business from brokers and partner with Sales. You will underwrite and manage products across the portfolio, including enterprise segments, while serving as a trusted partner to brokers and clients.

This remote role covers the Western US region; you will mentor teams, shape portfolio strategy, and lead complex pricing negotiations with carriers and CPU collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience including high-complex cyber and Technology E&O for large enterprise.
• Ability to translate underwriting expertise into broker and client solutions.
• Experience mentoring underwriters and guiding underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts, including enterprise segments, aligning with guidelines and risk appetite.
• Shape portfolio strategy by managing broker relationships for large, complex accounts.
• Maintain underwriting files, documentation, and internal tool usage per workflows.
• Lead complex pricing negotiations in line with risk appetite and carrier requirements.
• Provide deeper underwriting judgment for large networks and subsidiary exposures.
• Mentor other underwriters to raise standards and broker communication quality.
• Collaborate with security, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and CPU on risk issues and decisions.
• Represent Underwriting in cross-functional strategy discussions for portfolio growth.
• Shape local underwriting practices and escalation standards; drive process improvements.
• Travel as needed for broker management, client meetings, and market activity.
