Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Time and Labor Specialist within our Payroll Services team to support timesheet processing, pay-data analysis, and related duties. You will analyze pay data, research errors, and drive process improvements with clear communication and ownership.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and capable of escalating when needed, with experience in government contracting and a strong command of Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 4–5 years timesheet administration or time-charging experience.
  • Prior government contracting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of time-charging policies and procedures to ensure adherence to policy and federal labor laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work overtime for special projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor timesheets to ensure timely submission and approval.
  • Assist employees with timesheet questions and issues related to recording of hours (confidential).
  • Perform timecard corrections of varying complexity.
  • Complete a high volume of timesheet adjustments.
  • Maintain and update approver groups in the system.
  • Assist employees with creating paper correcting timesheets when needed.
  • Track and report timesheet discrepancies and recommend actions to resolve them.
  • Review pay data and resolve pay-related questions.
  • Research and analyze errors, trace root causes, and drive resolution.
  • Track final timesheets for non-immediate terminating employees with HR coordination.
  • Provide timesheets to HR and Legal when necessary.
  • Walk customers through the problem-solving process.
  • Route problems to correct resources and escalate when needed.
  • Follow up with customers and ensure issues are resolved.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them.
  • Maintain process documentation and propose updates to procedures.
  • Ensure proper recording and closure of cases.
  • Support special projects and other duties.
