Job summary

ACD Direct, Inc. is seeking a Senior TechOps Engineer to own reliability, security, and automation across our contact center tech platform. You will architect infrastructure, drive IaC, and lead a distributed team to prevent incidents and improve performance.

This role emphasizes remote, async work with quarterly data center visits. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, expert Kubernetes, strong cloud skills, and PCI DSS experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
• Expert Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong cloud platform mastery (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• IaC proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.
• Experience owning PCI DSS compliance.
• Security engineering background: IAM, vulnerability mgmt, audit logging.
• Ability to define and track SLOs/SLIs.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-directed in a fully remote, async-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust CI/CD frameworks for serverless and containerized apps.
• Own IaC strategy to ensure parity and fast recovery.
• Maintain 99.9%+ uptime via availability and performance ownership.
• Lead security posture with automated scanning and auditing.
• Embed DevSecOps practices early in the SDLC.
• Lead RCA and implement preventive automation.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability across environments.
• Mentor junior to mid-level TechOps engineers.
• Set documentation and process standards across the team.
• Collaborate to evaluate new technologies and roadmap infra items.
