Job summary

Camunda is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to own documentation for core product areas. You will work closely with engineers, PMs, and designers to ensure the docs reflect the actual product experience and developer needs.

This hands‑on role includes becoming a subject‑matter expert in AI features and agentic orchestration. You’ll lead documentation from concept to release, tailoring content for diverse developer audiences and leveraging Docs‑as‑Code workflows with Docusaurus, Git, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical writing experience (including senior or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and related technologies.
• Experience writing developer-focused content (APIs, guides, tutorials).
• Experience with AI concepts (LLMs, RAG, MCP) and agentic orchestration.
• Docs‑as‑Code workflows and frameworks (Docusaurus); Git & Markdown in a developer‑centric environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive documentation for one or more product areas within Camunda teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to align docs with roadmap.
• Develop hands‑on product area expertise to reflect real‑world usage.
• Lead docs projects from concept through release and maintenance.
• Advocate for docs as a core part of user experience and product design.
• Improve structure and clarity using analytics and feedback.
• Collaborate with Documentation team to share best practices.
