Job summary

The Newberry Group seeks an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for highly specialized technical and professional positions supporting federal government programs. Remote within the U.S.

with limited travel as needed, collaborating with executives and hiring managers to drive growth and contract staffing. Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of technical recruiting experience for cleared roles, strong candidate sourcing, and familiarity with ATS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of technical recruiting experience for candidates with Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearances.
• Experience recruiting for government contractors, defense contractors, or federal agencies.
• Proactively identify, source, and engage passive candidates through multiple sourcing channels.
• Proven success recruiting highly specialized technical professionals in cleared positions.
• Knowledge of federal contracting environments, labor categories, and contract staffing requirements.
• Experience supporting employee onboarding processes.
• Proficiency with recruiting tools, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
• Recruit for a variety of technical and professional IT positions, including cybersecurity, security compliance, engineering, AI, cloud, and program management.
• Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage active and passive candidates.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and develop effective recruiting plans.
• Conduct candidate assessments to evaluate technical qualifications and alignment with role requirements.
• Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and hiring activities throughout the process.
• Track and report recruiting metrics, hiring activity, and pipeline status.
• Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the ATS.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Attend industry conferences and events to build pipelines and employer brand.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recruiting best practices.
